This is a lam grinder made by Brandon Stahl. I have tried to find his contact info in order to ask if I could post it here, but could not find any. I hope he do not mind. He said it worked so well that he never bothered to make another.
As you can see it had spring loaded pressure rollers

I'm having a hard time figuring out how the dust collection works with that flap/deflector in front of it?
Are the lams fed thru between the rollers and the wood block?

Yes,lams and sled is going between rollers and wood block. I use something like it.
I think there is a good opening between sanding belt and deflector.

Bue... I am sure Brandon won't mind...

I got the idea from Brandon's design and modified it... What I like about mine is that it pivots on a pin and sends the work in at about a 60 to 70* angle which gives you better fine tuning for adjustment... Plus I have a knob with a threaded rod for adjustment which I think moves the work towards the sander at about .005" for a half a turn... I have another one with rollers for longer laminations like the limbs... This one is for short laminations like 5" to about 16"...

Not much infeed or outfeed support with that system.
The edge of the lam and the sled must ride on the table, you guys don't get any pivoting while hand feeding thru the jig?

Flem, if you look at my upside down picture you can see that it has a long support fence. Besides the pressure rollers have strong springs that press the sled and lam against the fence.

Flem... When working with small pieces of wood the rollers just get in the way on this one... My other one has a longer fence and rollers that hold the lam it tight to the fence... I don't have a problem with operating either one... They are very accurate... You just need to have a knack for feeding the work consistently...

Ain't that the truth! I believe you guy's with this set up have an advantage over the one I use, from a hand feeding perspective. I have to do a little Jig when moving from the infeed to outfeed side of my drum sanding table

One of these days when I get a little more room in my shop. I will have a thickness sander and it will be a grizzly. But for now this is been working great for me. JF
