Ben Pearson Hunter
« on: October 18, 2021, 11:42:21 AM »
I scored this past weekend at a discount store. Found a beautiful Ben Pearson Hunter recurve, brown glass, 58" amo, 45lb at 28". It is the Hunter 709. The other numbers are 09-......

It had an ever so slight limb twist but I took care of that.

Also picked up an original box with 5 original in good shape arrows and 5 arrows that needed to be re-done.

50 bucks.

Anyone know when the bow was made? I am getting years from 62 to 66 is this correct?

Thanks

I believe the Hunter model was made 1965 thru 1968. They were nice looking Zebrawood.

Model "709" was 65-67 and "7090" was 68+

I have two of them, one which is a 709 brown glass. I believe the 65 was black, 66 was green,  67 brown 68 green, and 69 black.

Very nice shooters and 50 bucks was a steal. They are starting to gain some value now that people have gotten some of the bear poo out of their eyes LOL.
