Oct. 26th TN buck
« on: October 28, 2021, 09:07:47 PM »
Went to Tennessee for some pre rut hunting action from the 24-28 with my buddy. I ended up shooting this buck on the evening of the 26th. Came in following a doe and shot him from my saddle at 15 yards. Arrow nicked a twig and the shot hit a tad low left of where I was aiming.  He mule kicked and I saw the arrow break behind the offside shoulder.  He made a mad dash out of the field and into the woods. About 2 min later I heard a crash.  I got down and examined the blood and decided to give him overnight just to be safe and because the temps allowed.  The following morning I found him 90 yards from the shot sight.  It was an awesome hunt! The only real stipulation I had for myself was that I wanted to shoot an 8pt or bigger. It was a cool hunt and I’m happy to have him!

Nice deer-congratulations!  What part of TN were you hunting?  I moved to the mountains of E TN last year and I’m really enjoying the challenge of hunting mountain deer…

That's a good buck.  Congratulations!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.
