Listen to the woods
« on: November 01, 2021, 05:27:24 PM »
I planned to stay on stand until 10:30…..the woods got me stay a little longer.
I had my backpack on and was pulling out my tow rope for my bow when I heard a deer running it’s  a doe being dogged by a small buck. I give a few grunts and decide to stay awhile longer since they are moving. I hang my backpack and re-knock an arrow. Six minutes later here comes a buck down the ridge I’m on….he’s broadside at 17yds and the arrow is gone….it’s all over by 10:37. Listen to the woods they occasionally give us hints.

Yep, especially during the full moon week.  People are idiots for not hunting mid day, and those that claim 'its too windy'. What no hunting pansies. Those to claims how ignorant they are and were destine to be 'basket weavers'.

Nice deer.  Way to follow your gut and stay a bit longer.
