I ran into a group of hogs feeding under a persimmon tree in a dry slough
Well I was able to sneak into 18 yards of this one and my arrow flew true. It zipped through her so fast she didn’t know what happened! She spun and faced me and stood there for several seconds, I was thinking she might fall over right there but she wheeled and ran about 25 yards and went down. Here’s what it looked like under the persimmon tree.

And I was wondering also if you still got persimmons on the ground? Long gone usually before the October opening here.

None on the ground, there were only a dozen maybe left in the tree. They are picking them up as soon as they fall
