How does the Lil Favorite compare to the Super Shrew?
« on: February 14, 2007, 11:22:00 PM »
Curious about these two bows.  For those who have shot both, how do they compare?  'Shootability', quietness, speed?  If you could have either one, which would it be?  Thx.

The little favorite is a quiet bow. The Super Shrew longbow is a extremely quiet bow. I've killed deer with both the Lil Favorite and my Super Shrew Samurai on quiet nights and there's not an issue with how quiet either is.

I personally like longbows better than recurves. The Lil Favorite is a very well behaved little bow. The grip from one Shrew bow to the next is the same; so you have the same comfortable and easy grip to hold.

From a personal standpoint, if I was going to have only one Super Shrew, it would be the longbow version. However be warned, they're like Lay's potato chips, so you may as well just order them both.

Ray is right you cant have just one of these bows.  I bought a Lil Favorite in Kalamazoo a few weeks ago and loved it so much I just bought a Super Shrew Chameleon off a fellow TradGang member.  I have not shot the Chameleon yet it just came in the mail today but I love the style in these bows and I am sure they both will quickly become my favorites.  I dont think you will be disappointed in either one.

I have one- piece Shrew Samurai, Brown Chameleon w/ bevel loc and bought a new Super Shrew Deluxe w/ bevel loc last year at Compton. All 3 are 58”.  Love the short bow design for tight quarters. Extremely fast bows. Time proven design………..Well be looking for another T/D with the new bolt T/D system.
