A skinner for my cousin
« on: December 30, 2021, 11:42:23 AM »
This knife is another Small Game Hunter model. This one features CPM Magnacut steel, a skeletonized and tapered tang, stag scales over black liners, some handmade Christian cross EDM pins that I carved to match the bark texture of the antler, and a custom fit right handed tooled leather sheath dyed to compliment the natural colors in the antler.  The sheath was hand sewn with a saddle stitch using black thread to match the black liners on the knife.

Sorry folks, but this one is already spoken for.  It is going to a local man who I am grateful to call my friend and cousin.  Milton is one of the most genuine and honest people I know and is an amazing father with three beautiful children.  He is also a knifemaker himself.  I’m honored to have the opportunity to make him something special for his hunts and look forward to seeing it being used in the field and handed down to his son Ezra one day.

This is a nice knife.
Thank you Sam.  I am quite pleased with my work on this one too.  It has been good to get back in the shop some now that hunting season is slowing down a bit for me.
