Well last week was the best new bow week in history for me.  It started out on Monday with the postman bringing a "new to me" excellent condition Wengerd Chamois longbow 64" 39#@28" Myrtle and Zircote.  This bow is flawless and a true work of art.
Then on Friday I received my Toelke 10X Whip from Dan.  62" 42#@28".  This bow has a micarta riser with cocobolo accents and exhibition grade cherry veneers. Month and quiet, just like all Toelkes.  I'm not into collecting bows, so I'm good for quite awhile.

As long as wait times are I won’t see anything until 2023 and one that’s on order maybe 2024 at best. Good thing I have plenty of good bow already.

Well, I did pull the trigger on a Droptine Bows Mantis, should be started in June !! I hate waiting but I think it will be worth it !!

“Bow” season for me begins as soon as deer season ends. Here are three that I just finished up and one in progress. All started since Christmas. Three are hickory staves cut from my woods last spring. One is from an Osage stave purchased at the Tennessee Classic. I’ve been experimenting with some dyes to get the color. “Silent Green” is simply Fiebings leather dye. “Scarlet O’Arrow” is colored with Keda Dye that comes as a powder and requires mixing. While I like the Fiebings for convenience (premixed and ready to go), I’m pleased with the results of either.  I typically finish with Tru-Oil and if the bow becomes a hunter, I’ll over-spray with a satin poly. I spoke with Leon a few weeks ago and ordered a 66” 55@31” RD longbow. It will have a cocobolo and Osage flared riser, spliced curly maple and yew veneers on the back of the bow, honey colored 4A curly maple veneers on the belly.

Other than stuff I am building I picked up a Ben Pearson 7388 Gamester in 55#. Should be here tomorrow according to the tracking. I keep looking at some of the higher end custom builders, but haven't gotten on any wait lists as of just yet...

I will have to post pictures later.  I got some classic bows in recently.  A 1957 Kodiak that I sent to have some work done on.  Also have an old Herters that will probably ship tomorrow.  And then I am expecting to add another TallTines Stickflinger to the arsenal later.  I did so good minimizing new bows in 2021.  Not so much 2022.

I’m a furniture finisher/painter by trade so I usually strip and re-stain/re finish my bow every late winter a new color/finish, just like getting a new bow!

That's a cool looking bow Kenny.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.
