That's a good idea. I don't know any local guys who are going out there now but I've been talking to a guy who used to go and hes been really helpful.

I don't have any accounts on any of the michigan forums. I read some of them but haven't used them before. That might be another good idea to try.

Start here with a new post.

Seasons may over lap with Muzzle loading like in CO.

We had both bow and muzzle loaders in camp.

Don't overlook the wheeled bow guys either.

Certainly not opposed to sharing camp with hunters using other weapons. My buddy who I'm going with shoots a compound.

Is Daniel WY an area that's easily drawn? I need to set aside some time this week and talk to some wildlife biologists.

And just a Mullie on my 2nd try.

OK I'll look into it. One of the concerns I have about applying for an area with no points is one of us getting drawn but not the other. Then the other guy is kind of out of luck.

Maybe no antelope tag the 2nd time cause I killed one the 1st time. If you are hoping for 'partner tags' good luck. Your gonna need it!

Yall want to have some crazy fun together? Yall should come to one of the LTR hunts!!! It's insane!

Antelope is on the list as well. We were possibly considering that for the following years adventure. We both plan to buy some points for WY this year so we could potentially both draw next year.

The LTR hunts look like a lot of fun as well. Might have to try that at some point.

After the new regulations for the 2022 season, the Pine Ridge unit which has the majority of public land and was the area that I'd been looking at the most got turned into a mule deer protection zone, which unfortunately rules out the vast majority of the spots that I have scouted out via satellite maps and such. There are a few other units I'm looking at but I'm definitely a bit more limited. It's looking more and more like trying to knock on some doors and get permission is going to be the way to go. Initially I was trying to avoid asking but with this wrench thrown in the plans figured I'd ask here if anyone had any connections or might know of someone who would be willing to let two guys bowhunt on their land for a few days. We'd both be willing to pay trespass fees.
I know around here asking that question is grounds for getting shot  :biglaugh:
