Spreading the addiction around
« on: January 23, 2022, 12:57:01 PM »
Just recently had a friend who mentioned his lady was thinking about archery. Seemed like something they would do together. Set him up with 2 bows from my collection to get them started. Put a small sum of $ in my pocket, and gave me space for something else when it comes along....hopefully another of my own making. Put her on a 24# @ 26" long bow, and him into a vintage Bear Bearcat, 40# @ 28". Hopefully it is something they stick with. It would be great to have some company shooting now and then.  :archer2:

Should be headed to their place on Tuesday to do some shooting. Much bigger backyard than mine. Should give us a chance to get them started, and me the opportunity to get in some longer distance than my place allows.

That's great.  It's awesome to get people involved and mentor them into our sport.

Yes sir! I am excited for both of them. I don't expect either to take up hunting, but target shooting on it's own is a deep enough rabbit hole to keep them busy for quite a while.

Got over my buddy's place for a good shooting session today! About 3.5 hours. Got my fixed crawl set up, and got him shooting, and hitting the target with some ok groups around 10 yards. Also got him to a point where he now knows what fatigue feels like, and when it's time to stop, lol. Overall great time, and very productive.
