In some ways I envy some of you.  I grew up in a very different world, where men's and women's roles were sharply defined and divided.  A strong old German farming community, where women cleaned house and baked bread and men worked outside, and never the twain shall meet.   :nono:

Mine went w me while we were dating. It was a trap!
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I like the fact that I'm the only one in my household that loves to hunt. We each have our own rewards.

On the one hand this embarrassing, but Larry is a complex singer/musician/science nerd, tough guy, more at home in wilderness than home. He sometimes does things that surprise me.

Beautiful song and tribute.  The sentiments expressed in these posts are very touching.  Thanks for them.

My wife has no interest in camping, hunting, guns, or archery, but she has always accepted that I do.

Dave, you are truly blessed, Tracey not only shares your passion for hunting but put also she's a darn good bowyer. Most men don't have that privilege but you and I know how wonderful it is. Enjoy every minute, every day and every year my friend.

Thank you Ron I do feel blessed

Sounds like you and your wife, all of you who hunt together, make a great team in the hunting woods!

I'm on 43.5 years of marriage. My wife likes to fish (a bit), but has never shown an interest in hunting.  She supports me very much as I hunt and is excited for me when I have a good time, kill something, etc. She has encouraged me to go after some pretty big dream hunts, but then I explain the costs involved.

She has occasionally gone with me to read the newspaper (now iPad) in my truck as I squirrel hunt 100-200 yards away.

My wife has cooked everything I have drug thru the door for 21 years. Love that. She hunted a little and Shot 1 buck before kids. Once they came I was on my own. Now that they are going their own way she ask for a tag this this year. I'm excited.
The hunt is the trophy!
