Mark, what width or pull weight tape are you using?  I tried ski rope about 10 years ago and didn't like it. Hadn't heard of mule tape at that time...

I get glue on everything. Most of my shirts have a dab of glue on right side of belly.

If you can find someone who works for a power company or an electrical contractor, you may be able to get mule tape for free. A lot of companies will only use it one time to pull wire then discard it.

They don’t want to run the risk of a break mid pull should there be a weak spot/abrasion from a previous wire pull.

I've been using paracord with good results.  Not noticing any stretching.  It's important to evacuate all air from the hose, strap down as tight as possible with the hose perfectly aligned centerwise the full length of the form.

I had to eat my Wheaties to brace this one, was going for #40 but it has to be over #50

Needs a little tiller and a longer string, First Brace at 6-1/2"
Riser needs to be shaped too.
