Shoutout to American Leathers
« on: February 12, 2022, 06:58:55 AM »
:thumbsup:John and Lori at AL took great care of me. They refurbished my Crossover with new finger stalls and a longer, wider wrist strap. Nicely done workmanship and VERY economical. Now I wait for this cold snap to end to start breaking it in!

Yep, they're good people! I have 4-5 of their gloves, & LOVE them! Best glove I've found!

Simply put "Great Service". I shoot a large glove but need a longer wrist strap. They did a special order and got it to me promptly. I highly recommend this company.

Which finger stalls do you all prefer? I currently don’t have one of these gloves, i have shot damascus almost exclusively until they leather changed a few years ago.  I have experimented with the Bodnick Bearpaw with cordura on the fingers, and am currently shooting an Alaska Bowhunting Supply glove that is close to the old damascus but heavier leather on the fingers. Both shoot well for me but I lean towards the ABS glove. Just curious on the preference of leather or cordura.  Thanks.

Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

I’m very pleased with the Buffalo Crossover they just refurbished for me. Stalls are reinforced. You can send a tracing of your hand for a custom fit.

I know what you mean. I wore mine to a brush shoot last night and did poorly. I wasn’t always confident of my anchor and the score showed it. I’m sure I’ll get back in the groove soon.

Jim I'm sure you will.  I'm a Rick Barbee tab shooter, and am getting back into gloves for extended shooting.  How was your season?  Mine never got started!

Sent my Elk Big Shot size Large back to American Leather and even though it had been lightly shot they upgraded it to an XL for the cost of shipping.  Glove should be here Monday.  I'll get to breaking it in.

The nylon strap material holds Dr.Schulz Foot Powder very nicely and makes the release very smooth. It doesn't hurt to have some of that for the average hunting boot any way, with the nylon tab you can give it a second job to do.

Just received a box from AL.  Had sent them a very lightly used glove, about two dozen arrows, sized large.  They upgraded to an XL for me for the cost of shipping.  I had not even bought the glove from them!  Could not be more pleased.  I'll shoot it for a few weeks and get back on how it feels.

...2X  for their Kangaroo glove!...
...it took 8 years for me to wear out an American Leathers Buffalo glove...I thought it was pretty expensive when I bought it, but price/divided by years of use make it seen dirt cheap... I have sine replaced it with their Kangaroo glove.... Very thin, VERY TOUGH!... I'm giving it my vote for" best of the best"...  they are all great, but the kangaroo has made the best better...

Starting to get used to the big fat finger in corner of my mouth.  Glove is starting to grow on me.  Just might be a contender.
