I spent a few hours planing and tapering bamboo for my plan B bow. I’m pretty sure I know what caused the hinge on my first bow and I’m doing things a bit differently this time. When I do the glue up, I’ll do everything except for the belly lams. I’m going to pre-shape them and glue them on afterwards.

Here’s the first belly lam in the bending caul. I’m giving the belly lams some bend to help them conform to the ramps.

4 pt, I hope you like it. I’ve seen your work and I hope the bow I built is half as good as the bows you put out! It was originally supposed to be a 60” bow but I had some lams slip in glue up and didn’t notice. I was concerned about the thickness of the limb tips. They seemed kinda thick to me? It’s only the 6th bow I’ve built and I learn a little something with each one! Anyways, I hope you like it!

Sorry for the radio silence guys!  We are now 6/10 shipped and received.  Wood carver, TradBowyer, Nicholi, and I are all in various stages of building.

Dannon, I like the bow. It’s a little stout at my draw but that’s okay. There is plenty of meat in the limbs so I can take some pounds off. I’ve been getting home late this week, I’ll get some pics posted this weekend

Finally got some pic's. Dannon your bow shoots great, I'm gonna take a few pounds off when I get some time. It bends real nice.

I have a pile of veneers showing up in the next couple days and then building will begin again.  Going to end up in the grace period for sure due to a Hawaii trip we've had planned for some time, my apologies in advance.

6/10 received still.  Need the guys who are still building to check their PM's please.

I got my bow tillered today and it made weight. I spent a good part of the day shaping and sanding the limbs and riser and I glued up some pieces to make tip overlays. There’s still work to be done, but it’s getting there.
