I got the new Primal Tech in the mail. Randy and I did some horse trading and J told him to pick the woods. Looks like he has a pretty good eye! Shoots nice too.

It has a stabilized walnut burl riser with a stabilized spalted myrtle flare and limb laminations. The accents are pronghorn horn. It is 62 inches and 51# @ 28z
I had some real high end mountain hunting gear Randy was interested in and unfortunately I probably don’t have a lot of high mountain hunts coming up. I still have plenty of gear if one does happen.

I’m in line for one of those. The pass around bow he built was so quiet, and the grip was perfect for me.

He has a customer showing build progress on his on TBH. Between yours, Corey's and that one I'd say Randy had had some great wood to work with and is showcasing his ability with it for sure.

This is my hunting buddies primal. It's as quiet as my Northern Mists. Just an awesome bow, he has a set of recurve limbs on order now!

I was able to give the Primal Tech its first real workout today at an outdoor shoot at the archery club. My first impressions were confirmed and then some, it shoots as least as good as it looks. 51#@28 and I draw a tad over 29. It shoots 64-66 spined woodies with 160 grain heads like a dream and 2016s with 175 grain heads just as good. This bow will be a great hunting companion.

I expected you'd have that kind of experience.
There is no doubt the time and research Randy has put into his design goes far beyond pretty wood and excellent craftsmanship.
Surprisingly good speed and cast, quiet and smooth.
You made a good decision going with a Primal Tech.

Dave, I am happy you found such a beautiful bow and a solid shooter. I wait for more reviews and maybe a comparison.

Not sure what kind of comparison you are looking for? I have two Primal Tech bows. One 3 piece with two sets of limbs (recurve and longbow), a two piece longbow and he is fixin ta start building my third bow, another 3 piece with both style limbs but 2" shorter and a few pounds lighter.
The reality is this guy builds special bows.

Big fan of Randy’s bows. My 1 piece longbow has put a lot of meat in my freezer and is a stunning bow to look at. I absolutely love this bow. It will never be sold. It just works for me. Here are a few of the animals…did I mention I love this bow?
