The "like" is really unqualified if you don't have a "dislike" to equalize the opposite response.   
Maybe that would cut down on some of the crass responses.

I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I kind of like the "like" button.  And a "thumbs-down" could have its place... but then it creates an angle for negativity that could change the culture here for the worse. 
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Or it would give some a way to express their disagreement without posting something negative.
