That wood is spectacular, very nice work. How do you keep the riser from cracking where the thick overlay that flushes the limbs up starts?

Good question Mark....
There are two #8 stainless steel screws that i counter sink and use when i put the initial overlay on with epoxy. That gets covered with the wood overlay.
These are mandatory with a wood riser. Even with an I-beam they flex enough to crack that flush limb pocket without the screws.... Notice the top one is offset for the shelf cut out. This one has a G-10 I beam and most likely wouldn't crack, but fixing it later is a chore, so i use the screws anyway for insurance. Kirk
