I used to swing a 2 pound hammer 10 hours a day, and could draw a 100# bow fairly easy myself. I could bench press over 300# too... I shot an 84# bow until i was 55 years old.

But... Those days are gone now... the last ten years has taken a toll on my upper body strength. I don't much care for anything over 55-57# anymore.   I like Light bows... Heavy weight fishing rods for bigger fish, and staying warm much more these days... :biglaugh:

I finally got them to play. My internet connection is so slow, I had to switch over to my phone's hot spot!

That looked painful. I was surprised he is using a static target style draw for that monster poundage.
Just a matter of time before he tears his rotator cuff, or worse.

Yup…. Heavy draw weights require a lot of upper body strength , and your body’s mileage may vary depending on injuries. I shot over 80# until I was 55 years old, and I only weighed a 170-175 pounds in those days.  I finally pulled a muscle that just would heal and had to give up the heavy bows…. Soooooo….. enjoy it while you can I say….

I did build him a light weight 80# set too. :biglaugh:   Kirk

I have to ask, what is the "SS" designation?

The SS was something I came up with while developing the static tip design. “Sasquatch Static” was the original idea…..

This static tip limb design needed a flatter limb pad angle than my original RC design too.  Then I had requests for both hybrid limbs and SS limbs that fit the same riser. So I had to build some different forms for my hybrid limbs that fit the same riser…. That was an interesting development that changed the forward placement of the grip on an established limb design.
