Big Jim Buffalo anyone?
« on: May 31, 2022, 01:01:33 AM »
G'day guys,

Well with the recent pick up of my new Thunderchild from Big Jim (See previous post) and also having another Thunderchild in heavier weight I have been interested in one of his longbows, a.k.a the Buffalo.

Question for you guys is who has owns one and how close is the grip to a Thunderchild?

Also, and having previously owned a Black Widow PLX (that I sold in a moment of weakness) what's the similarities of a BW PL longbow to a Buffalo?

Cheers from Aussie,

AK.

Oh and naturally... a few photos would be handy to go along with this post... :saywhat:

I think Widow and Buffalo pretty similar personally.Matter of fact I bought a Buffalo  custom made many years ago because I thought they were similar. But the Buffalo was less expensive. So I went for it.

I have owned 4 of the buffalo's and 4 Widows.I like both of them.I hunted with the 62 inch buffalos.I liked that length for me.Very solid and a good feel to it.

I am sure Big Jim could match the grip pretty close to your Thunderchild if you had one made.
