Hunting Vehicle

I think it is time to start a new HUNTING VEHICLE thread. Who has a classic, and who has something new?

I am sticking with my Classic 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport. I have put some time and money into a few improvements, and it just keeps going. Somewhere around 275,000 miles and still going strong.

No photos but I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra. I like the truck a lot but these gas prices are killing me.

245,000 miles and still going strong. Also have a 4Runner that works better for some of the narrow forest service roads in these mountains.

I have 298000 miles on my Tacoma and it's still running great.  I guess I will be getting rid of it though because I just bought a Honda I know it's not a truck Ridgeline.

Have a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser TRD.  Can't get pics to post correctly.  Trail Team version with "creeper mode" just push the button and control speed with knob on the roof.  Real slow, but I have never been stuck.  Pretty amazing the stuff you can crawl out of.

Wish I'd never sold this one. Tough old truck.

But the new 2022 V6 4x4 sure is nice.

I have a 2008 Polaris Ranger 700XP. The motor died in it last year I looked into getting a new one, but couldn’t swallow the current prices of new UTV’s. I had a used motor installed in it and it’s still chugging along!!!

Just got a 22 f150. Love it so far. Put a camper topper on it so I can sleep in it on weekends where I'm running somewhere far from the house.

I used to have an '03 trailblazer which got me through the first few years of college and worked really well. It has over 200K miles on it and is still going strong. It will be going to college with my brother this fall.

My current hunting (and everything else) vehicle is a '99 Chevy Tahoe. I love the way OBS Chevy's look, and they seem to go through just about anything without an issue. Plus the Vortec V8 engine that they put in them is super reliable and easy to perform maintenance on. I just hit 180K with it a few weeks ago and hope to be driving it for another 50-100K.

Guys I love seeing all these rigs that are used !! I too have soft spot for older Jeeps [I had a CJ3] but the long outback distances in Australia were killing my little mountain goat. The Ford Ute in pic is a 4 Litre six engine but with a factory locking rear diff that is nice for when situation gets sticky The camp set up is pretty typical of a WA outback hunt that works for me.
