It definitely is getting close for you guys.  Looking forward to hearing how it’s going.   My Wife and I are still trying to workout when our next visit to Sofala will be.

Things can happen quickly there.  My wife took her wildebeest out of a group of five.  Only the one that she shot ran off. So, we traded places very quietly allowing me to shoot mine.  We took both wildebeest in less than a minute from the same blind.

I remember packing too. We were able to pack everything for both of us into just two duffels and a single carry on for each of us. We each had a backup bow in the others duffel as well as half our arrows

Serious question. I know phones take decent video.  Current phone has a decent set up on it.  Even night vision.
Is it work taking a compact tripod and my Sony Handy cam?  The tripod also will hold a phone to video or still pic with.

Here we go! The next arrow that I shoot will be at a 3D Warthog target in South Africa in camp at Sofala the morning before the first hunt. Closing the shop this afternoon and getting ready to go tomorrow after we fill up my bear bait here in Arkansas to be ready and hunt the weekend after we get back from this hunt.

Easy trip booked again this year like it used to always be before they tried to shut the world down. I had a moose hunt booked in Canada for over two years but liberal Canada would rather break their outfitters with unrealistic travel demands and closures so I'm going back to Africa again this year with NO RESTRICTIONS!
Last year everyone was afraid to go, we went. 30 plus hours both ways with mask but NO SHOTS REQUIRED only a negative test within 72 hours both ways. This year no problem and we will see more animals in a day that most in several years.

Foods not too bad either!

Here's a trip from a couple of years ago.

We got very lucky. They removed all restrictions just before we took off.

If you’re interested, Mike and the group are doing pretty well at Sofala.   You can visit Sofala on Facebook and see some of their success.

It is going fairly well.  A bit slow overall but everyone has had opportunities and the walk in cooler is filling up.  Still time to shed more blood and make more memories.  I'm sure Mike will post a thread upon return .  Pretty sure he doesn't do TG from his phone.
