Bow Weight Reduction
« on: July 23, 2022, 12:22:17 AM »
Looking for a good person to reduce weight on a longbow. I have read several posts that Ken Butler "2 Bears" does a great job but when I do a member search I can't find him. Does anyone know how to reach him? Also any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Some of the guys that used to reductions have passed away or no longer do it.

2 Bears can be found on another traditional archery site.

I have had the weight reduced on several bows by the bowyer who made the bow, with satisfactory results.  For example, Black Widow reduced the weight on a recurve, and Robertson reduced the weight on a longbow.

You might also try Shane at Great Plains, he has reduced #'s on two of my bows and is working on a third. Great job and reasonable.

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Black Widow did a few bows for me. One was not a Black Widow. They did a great job.
