Good point, Michael. I’ve been teaching archery for about 20 years, mostly on a level 1 certification, because I didn’t need any higher certification to do the kind of introductory level teaching I do for my club. However, I’m retired now, and have more time, so I decided to go for the level 2 certification. It was enjoyable, and I learned some new things, so now I’m thinking about going for level 3. The most important thing about any archery instruction is safety, because in a class of kids, unexpected things will happen. However, beyond that, and more important for us “mature” shooters, is our own safety from the injuries we inflict on ourselves from shooting the bow incorrectly.
