Hello Everyone,asiatic bow users?
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:07:00 PM »
I have been a reader on this site for a long time and really enjoy the different points of views of the members here.I would like to know if there are any people here that use asiatic recurve bows here for hunting? These bows  really fascinate me and hunting with them is my object for this year's deer season.I would like to know what other users of these bows think of them.
Thanks.

I have a couple of "Asiatic" bows, two from "Attila's Archery" and a Spitfire bow. Shoot these with the "Mongolian" thumbring release.
These bows have syah's though, and are not "recurves."
A few others here have Korean bows, from "Bluelake" and "3Rivers Archery"
What are you going to hunt?

Mate, there is an American fellow who hasn't seen this thread yet who's knocked over a few with a horsebow. Hopefully he'll chime in...

In the meantime, try doing a search for "horsebow" in PowWow and see what you come up with.

Not much help - but I had a 55# Samick SKB bow 52" long that I took on a grand total of 1 hunt and fluffed a shot at a big sow with about 5 years ago . The bow was very light to carry , handy in tight scrub and shot real well . The riser was too small for my hand and building it up looked horrible

I have recently began to gain an interest in whats marketed today as Horsebows and using them for hunting and field target work .

I have spotted Attilla's website as well and am keen on there Horsebow kit and  semi finished kits they sell

regards Jacko
