Hi Bob,  It's good to see your name pop up again. A lifetime ago I owned a few of your bows that, while I wish I still had, I wouldn't be able to pull today.  Glad to see you posting and hope you are well.

Hi Phil, I still have a few of the original bows. I have 2 setup for hunting this year. One is and old Shawnee its about 40# @26" longbow limbs. Shoots a 600 VAP shaft with 300gr point really good. Bare shaft tuned. I plan on hunting with this bow. Ground blinds I have a 52" Max6 limbs 500 VAP with 300gr points. I plan on shooting a glove 2 finger. Arthritis may change that if it does I will use a release. Like everyone else I'm looking forward to next Saturday opening day here in Ohio.

Bob,
I remember chasing down a rattle snake in Texas with you. I still have at least a 1/2 dozen of your bows...tippit
I remember it well. I got a few cactus in the rear backup from that snake, also brought a few Ticks home with me....Bob

Bob,

It is so very good to see your name!  Brings back a lot of fond memories of earlier days.

My hunting bow today is still the Cheyenne riser you built for me that fits my hand like no other ever has.  I got it with 47"@29" limbs when MS robbed me of the strength to pull my 63# Jerry Pierce Choctaw, but as even that became a challenge I had it retrofitted to accept a set of 43# Max 6s.  It is an amazing bow that has kept me hunting.

Thanks for all you have done for me, and for our sport!

Wow, remember that ACS that you told me that you made for you, 51@26”? The one that you put canebrakes on for me? I shot it three weeks ago. My carpal tunnel has not given me a break since.  :banghead:

The Cheyenne you made for me got cuddled by my friends the week before that.  :archer: One wanted to buy it from me.  :saywhat: :nono: Still so sweet and steady! But I can’t shoot a bow until my medial nerve forgets its outrage.

Miss those days.

I can’t remember the actual bows but I do remember the the shoots after seeing the pics. I also remember the young guy building bows and proud for those who received them. Getting harder to remember, pictures do help.

Dammit. Now I gotta fire up the desktop where most of my pics are. This may take a week.

These posted pics are at Baltimore, 2006-ish.

Bernie and I also were graced by your presence  at ATAR at Stephens Lake in Beckley, WV. I bought Bernie Dunn’s ACS that you worked on. That ATAR was a hoot, with Dano, Bernie, Pat B, Chuck Sinclaire and a host of others whom I would like to name but it is past sleepytime for me as I get up at 4:30.

I’m doing good if I wake by 7:30. I don’t hunt mornings so I need all the rest I can get to make it to the woods in the afternoon and evening.

Bob great to see you back , my three Morrison’s are my most prized bows.  This year the Cheyenne with 43lb carbon foam limbs is getting the nod as I tore my rotator.  Shoot straight

I have only been able to hunt 3 days so far. 2nd trip out I had a slip (Tree stand slipped about a foot) it took a lot of staining to get back into hunting position. hunted the next evening no problems. next day both shoulders sore real sore also back spasms. I hope to get out next week. Golden years my A$$.

Nice thread for sure. Bob you build a custom Cheyenne for me some years back. And I have an older Dakota II  picked up up somewhere years ago I don't even remember.  I'm going to send you a private message with questions about that longbow if you don't mind. Please check when you can. Thanks, good to see you here.

Bob,
I remember when I was looking at the new R/D longbows and you sent me your backup bow to try out.  Ended up going with Jim Reynolds, but really liked your bow.
