Bought some but this will be the first year. Talking with Cody Greenwood, he said he put an Iron Will Wide through a bear at 23 yards-ish with a 48lb recurve. He shared the video and you can see the arrow go through the black bear and hit the dirt. Short recovery on the bear also.
I originally wanted the single bevels but they were out of stock so I ordered the wides. Few days later, single bevels were back in! 🤦‍♂️
Anyways the wides are tiny compared to some heads out there. Here’s a pic. They are pretty sharp!

Bought some 150, 2-blade, double bevels. They look great, but I haven't used them yet.  I have QAD, 3-blades on my hunting arrows at the moment.

I took the Iron Will 250 Grain Single Bevel “Buff Edition” which means no bleeder option to Africa. They performed really well and had great penetration. Super sharp Broadheads that are structurally sound and hold an edge… They are only 1-1/16” wide main blades so the bleeders would help with additional cut… I wanted to take the 250 Grain Wides with Bleeders for the smaller game but I couldn’t find stock before the trip. I took VPA 250 Grain 3 Blade 1-1/4” cut for the smaller game and warthog… I now have the 250 Grain Wides to try for this Iowa Whitetail Season if I get the itch to dabble…

 i shoot the 200 gr solids and have for years.  shot a fat doe through the ribs and lungs - she went 18 steps and took a nap.  pulled the arrow out of the log behind her and shot a badger later that evening back at camp eating all my hot dogs and its still fairly sharp.

Ordered 3 of the single bevel right 200 grain with bleeders. They were shipped today. Can’t wait to try them out. Hope they shoot well with my setup.

If you can afford those BH, they are probably the best on the market regarding to quality. I used them mainly on African eland zebra and blue wildebeest and an African buff hunt is planed with arrows tipped with ironwill BH.
 Despite the non-3:1 design they penetrate insanely and out of the box sharpness and edge retention is one of the best on the market.
 Though for my homeland lighter critters deers hogs and muflon (mountain sheep) they are a bit overkill regarding to cost effectiveness and I didn’t experienced a significant difference in lethality compared to a simple zwickey delta or a Kayuga pilot cut i use most of the time.

Jared Toelke just took a nice bull Elk with a 150 buff Ironwill using their chinook recurve. Think he said it was still sharp after chopping through ribs, lungs, and heart.

Congrats on the elk. Haven’t had a shot yet but did have a little scare a couple weeks ago when a mom & 3 cubs came into my stand. Mom popped her jaw & postured but ended up running off with the cubs. Was happy to at least have a BH I trusted if she decided to charge.

I got some 125 wide cuts. Very happy with them so far.


Punched a tag to get meat in the freezer last weekend, shot a big old doe.



Shot was 10 yards, recovery was maybe 10 feet. Shot was a pass through…she didn’t even know she was hit. About 3 seconds after shot she wheezed and fell over dead. Didn’t even spook the other deer in the food plot. I stayed on stand till dark hoping a good buck might come out…but only saw more does and a fork horn.

Used an ironwill wide cut. Impressed with how it preformed. Pass through, good entrance and exit holes, took out some ribs, massive internal injuries and bleeding. Don't know about blood trial because she didn't even get a chance to leave one. Arrow was stuck 8 inches in the dirt. Arrow was perfectly fine. Broadhead was still razor sharp... could still shave arm hairs.

I have the 150 wide solid double bevel. I don’t use the bleeders. They are 150gr without the bleeders, and 160 with them. Never understood why the advertise them as 150gr when they are really 160gr??? I only have 5 of them. I doubt I will buy any more of them. They are great heads, but not any better than my German Kinetics, and I already have a bunch of them. Plus, I don’t have to worry about my GK heads rusting!

Bisch, I found a pack of original Silver Flames in the custom extra wide model yesterday in my stuff. Those things are really scary.  That was the head I used to kill the bear that was 70 foot up in an oak tree.  The gash that head made was nasty.

I used a 175 grain vented double bevel to kill a large bear in Canada.  Used another to shoot a big buck in Kentucky. This arrow went through so fast that I thought I had missed.  Arrow buried in the ground.  I recovered it and it would still shave hair off my arm.  Cleaned the arrow and broadhead up and used it to get a pass through kill on a small doe.  Still shaving sharp. I cleaned it up and used that same arrow and broadhead to kill a seven pointer in hunting camp this past week.  Once again it passed through so fast I thought I had missed.  I cleaned the arrow and broadhead up and it would still roll the hair off my arm. The next day I used it to shoot a coyote through the skull.  Broadhead is still fine, and reasonably sharp but I went on and disassembled it and stropped the blades. It is now back to its original sharpness and back in my quiver.  Myself and the guys I hunt with were amazed.  Ive shot through four animals with out touching the broadhead other than washing it off.  Arrow is getting a little ratty looking but still in my quiver.

A friend of mine used the 200 grain double bevel to shoot through a large bear in Canada.  It passed through and buried in an old dried up cow scapula that was on the bait pile. pulled the broadhead out and it would still shave hair.

I have been very impressed.

Folks, the itch pulled the 250 Grain Solid Iron Will wide with bleeder out on an all day sit November 7th, 2023. Even though it sat exposed to the elements til sunset, it was still sharp and capable. 615 grain arrows and a 40 yard expiration on a beautiful Iowa Whitetail. Complete pass through on a walking tree thrasher, ribs were involved, no damage to blades, still razor & surgically sharp, blood trail minimal, internal damage immense. Never knew what hit him. Perfect. My other arrow in the quiver was a VPA 3 blade 1-1/4” 250 grain head. No doubt similar results, maybe more blood on the ground…🤷🏻‍♂️ Not sure, both are quality but ease of sharpening and likely blood trail goes to VPA. Edge retention and wicked sharp penetration is Iron Will. Love it that both have my confidence

Used the 125 wide double bevels on a couple different deer this season- super impressed with both (not a trad bow so I won't post pics).

6+ year old Iowa whitetail left the biggest bloodtrail i've ever seen- buck ran 25 yards & died on his feet a mere 33.4 yards from my stand.

They are pricey to be sure, but considering they have about everything I'm looking for in a broadhead I don't see a reason not to use them.

They aren't the easiest to sharpen due to the quality/hardness of the steel, but after they are sharp they stay that way for a LONG time!

Indeed great broadheads. I’ve harvested a handful of animals with them. Blood trails often relate to specifics on arrow placement and not the head. I’ve seen extremely good trails with both.
