Just received my Marksman tab yesterday, and began playing around with it today. Lots of options. Don't throw away the qrcode that is hidden in the folds of the packaging: it leads you to a useful explanation of how to take the tab apart and put it back together, including the use of the 4 included fiber washers. I decided to leave the middle tab out as I am using the tab on a 40# bow, but it is easy enough to put back in if I decide I want it later. I ordered it with the upgraded slick tab, which I used, but couldn't tell much difference between it and the one that came with the tab, at least at first glance.
This is how the tab looks after I assembled it the way I wanted it and took a few shots, but otherwise is unchanged from the way it came out of the box:
After taking a few more shots, I decided to remove a little of the leather over my index finger in order to have better contact between my index finger and my face anchor under my cheekbone. This is how it looks now:
I won't remove any more leather until I shoot it quite a bit, because it is a lot easier to take it off than to put it back on! It looks like I could remove a smidge over my ring finger, but it's not bothering me, so I’ll leave it alone for now. This is the way it fits my fingers:
This medium tab is about 1/4” narrower at the thick part where the tab contacts the string than the medium SafariTuff tab I usually use, and frankly fits my hand a little better. The width at my fingertips is the same as the SafariTuff because I beveled the sides of the SafariTuff in a little from the thick part to the end.
I'll be using both for the foreseeable future, unless one becomes my overall favorite, but so far I see no problem going back and forth between the two.
