Can you put a Great Northern gripper on a Selway quiver?
« on: October 12, 2022, 02:02:25 PM »
Based on appearances, the answer is no, but has anyone modded one to make this work? I want the Selway slide on because it's solid, but I like the gripper of the great northern quivers and how my 5 arrows bundle into a nice little circle. I fear that with a 5 arrow Selway quiver gripper, they would splay out too much and be annoying?

Any idea? Thanks

Well, no responses. I take it nobody has an issue with the way the Selway quivers splay out the arrows in a line? I guess the only way to find out if I don't like it is to buy one and try it out!

My good friend Rick Hinton modified his Selway with a Delta 7 arrow gripper so I see no reason a 5 arrow GN wouldn’t work . You will have to make a bracket out of aluminum to both attach gripper to and attach to the part that slides on the limb.

Can you cut the steel arm (utility knife for the rubber grippers and hacksaw etc for the steel)and last 2 grippers off of the Selway arrow holder and epoxy it to the back of the steel arm that would be holding 3 arrows now.I think you could. You would have 3 on the outside and 2 on the inside. Not sure about fletch clearance.Might be fine though I think looking at my Selway and imagining what I described with arrows installed.

You would have a 5 arrow setup similar to the GN as far as arrow alignment and geometry.

However I see nothing wrong with the inline design of the Selway.

G.N offers an inline gripper on the Quivers. You dont see em as much though. Some guys prefer those over the original 2 row setup on thier G.N quivers
