bow holder for car?
« on: October 24, 2022, 12:48:09 PM »
longbows have been a little annoying to transport without folding my seats down. does anyone have a simple clever convenient way to transport a bow in a car? like maybe some 3d printed doohickey that hangs onto the handlebars in your car?

I use a 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe with one end cap glued and a screw cap on the other end for transporting long bows in my truck. If you have luggage racks on your car that would work for you.

Good idea! I have a roof rack, but I'd rather my bow be protected inside my car. I might take the PVC and tie it to the car handlebars inside. I think it'll work. I'll probably need at least 6" since I keep my bow quiver on.

I'll try that one too. I feel like it'll be too loose and the bow will move around, but maybe it'll be better than I'm imagining.

If you are just moving your bows from here to there you could use thin walled PVC. I used my schedule 40 PVC to ship bows to Colorado when I hunted out there in '06 and '10. For just transporting it back and forth the thin wall would give you plenty of protection. I also used soft foam at each end of the pipe to protect the tips.

Velcro straps

Take and unscrew your garment hangers, reattach with the velcro secured under, and wrap the tag end around
Ooo, who, who hangs free
