I have a older bear that says Kodiak but I think it’s super Kodiak. Serial # is 5L3063.  Can anyone tell me what it is??  Thanks

That would be a Kodiak, they weren't renamed Super Kodiak until the phenolic "black beauty" came out in 1967

Your bow is a 1965 Bear Kodiak. It should be 60"amo, Bubinga/Rosewood riser, Brass standing bear coin, Olive Gray glass, Gray and White Overlays, and a 5L-serial number prefix. The first Super Kodiak's came out in the 1967 1/2 catalog. Here is a picture of your bow from the 1965 catalog.

Hard to beat the '65 or'66 Kodiak's. I think the only real difference was the glass color. Bear never brought out a '67 Kodiak, instead introduced the all phenolic Super Kodiak in '67 1/2.
