Scale for Tillering Tree?
« on: November 16, 2022, 11:38:55 AM »
Good morning.

Do you have recommendations for a scale for a tillering tree? I'm looking for something I could use with a tillering tree that uses a pulley.

I use a digital scale that I got from 3Rivers. Not expensive either.

I use an electronic luggage scale from Amazon -- about $8-10  -- and a simple or compound pulley, whichever one I find first.

I’ve been using this one for many years. I did break one by dropping it too many times. But it’s served me well.

I had a second one that I thought I’d use for weighing salmon on the boat. but it didn’t hold up in the weather well. I got it wet a few times and it sneezed…and it puked… then quit all together….  Kirk

My grand dad ripped off with that expression one time as I was a kid, and I never forgot it… he was working on his old roto tiller, and had it all torn apart in the machine shed….. I asked him what happened, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said; “ The old girl just sneezed and she puked…” I thought I’d bust a gut laughing…. Never forget that day. I miss that old boy.     Kirk

There's usually always a story on a saying we hear and will never forget it. Yeah my dad had one. He would say. "You think it'll work, I would say what ? He would say windshield wipers on a goat's ass." I've always Thought about that one and always laughed. JF

I always loved  the old expression. "Its kinda like putting lipstick on a pig"  What's the point?   I never heard about windshield wipers on a a goats ass before.... Funny. :clapper:
