I haven’t owned the Elkheart but I have owned the Assyrian, Thanjavur recurve and still own an Impala Express. All of Gregg’s bows are great bows.

They are the bow(s) I use! I've owned & shot many different bows over the decades but the Elkhearts are all I shoot the last 10+ years. I have 2 Elkhearts and Gregg is shipping a shorter Elkheart Magnum today.
Bows are highly personal, but my son and I love the grips, performance, and smoothness of the Java Man bows. The Elkheart is THE bow that really shoots where I look and is more forgiving to any form errors on my part.
That Gregg puts out a quality product and is a great guy to deal with are all bonuses...
Enjoy your Elkheart - worth the wait!!

I have owned many Javaman bows and have ALWAYS been pleased with them!  Gregg is a GREAT bowyer and person on top of that!  I don't believe you could go wrong with any of his bows, but especially the Elkheart.  Enjoy the wait.... :archer:

I’ve owned a three or four bows made by Gregg. He is a great guy to work with!  I had one elkheart that was a real beauty, just too light for me.

Very quick bow and very easy to be accurate.  You won’t find anyone better than Gregg to deal with.

I am mostly a recurve guy but I love to shoot my Elkhearts, they are accurate as my best recurves hard hitting and very quiet. In my group 4 other guys sold they recurves for going to the Elkheart and never looked back. Gregg is a real gentleman an engineer and he has a long experience in building bows.

My favorite bow I own!!! The grip is so comfortable and just feels like an extension of my arm when shooting..
