Central PA Pheasant Hunt
« on: November 18, 2022, 11:51:57 PM »
I’ve been spending more time than I care to admit building small game arrows and I’d like to put some in action.  If anyone is interested, I’d love to book a pheasant hunt at Martz’s Game Farm in Dalmatia, PA. If you’re interested, let me know.

Wish I was closer!!! I’d do it in a heartbeat. Been pheasant hunting with my longbow several times and it is a hoot. The best hunts I went on we had one guy on a shotgun (we rotated as the day went on) and everyone else on bows. If all arrows missed, the guy on the shotgun would take the bird if he could. On each hunt, there would be a couple taken with bows, but we all had birds to take home to eat!

Good luck getting a group together!

I use broadheads.  3Rivers sells factory seconds of their woodsmen 3 blades for $5 each.  They work really well on all small game.

So far two other guys are interested. You can Google Martz’s Game Farm for more information, but in short, it’s a private game farm.  No license is required, but the cost would be about $200 per person for a half-day hunt that includes a guide and guide dog.

You're bringing back some great memories.  We used to buy birds at a local game farm in February and I supplied the dog.  Great times.  Enjoy your hunt!

I like broadheads with scorpios on the shaft to keep the arrow in the bird but also its like a judo thats easier to find

Good stuff, I remember the St Jude pheasant hunts years back.
