Prairie predator length?
«

Hey all, I am thinking about getting a prairie predator soon, but I’m not sure about what bow length I should be thinking of. I have been shooting a 64 inch longbow but was hoping to go a little shorter both for something different, and to shoot from stands a little easier. However I do have a ~30 inch draw length. Am I going to need to go to the 62” model?

To the best of my knowledge, I believe that 60" is the only length Joe offers. Probably best to reach out directly to him after the holiday.

I talk to Joe a few weeks ago. He told me he builds a 64 inch bow also.

That's a good thing for the OP. I just looked at the site and only saw the 60" mentioned,

I have a 62" prarie predator 45@28 due to arrive Monday, my dl is 29 1/2. Fwiw Mike I believe is planning to retire the beginning of April. It's better to order sooner than later. Turn around time for my bow was 4-5 weeks if my old man memory is right.
Btw, who is Joe.

LOL!! I think we're talking about to different bows/bowyers! Joe Blake has Prairie Longbows and Mike Mecredy has Maddog and makes a Prairie Predator. Sorry for the confusion!

I was referring to Joe Blake. He don’t have a 64 listed on his website, but he told me that he can build a 64. He posted a picture a while back of a 64 inch that he built for a customer.
His bows look really nice.

I agree that Joe makes a very nice looking bow! When Microtus mentioned Mike and finished with "btw, who is Joe?" I realized that he and I were talking about two different bowyers.
