If you're ok with
slightly alternative medicine, check out the Alexander Technique. You can do it yourself but it is much better if you can go see a teacher and have some lessons. It changed my life, I used to get a lot of lower back, neck and shoulder pain and since taking lessons I can't remember the last time I had back pain. It's all about getting the body into to it's correct shape and resting it for short periods of time in a certain position as well as moving in better ways to prevent future damage/pain. It's also helped my chronic insomnia as well as other areas such as mental health.
There's no forcing/pushing/pulling like a physio/chiro and no drugs so it's VERY LOW impact.
Here's a link for the American Society for anyone interested

what have you got to lose in trying something new? If it doesn't work you can always go back to way you were, and if it's better than that's excellent. If you don't try something new, how can you get change?
