My bow is ready to start tillering in earnest.  Dialed in the layout and got her bending on the floor really nice.  She's 66" total length, 1-1/4" wide for half the limb, mostly flat profile but it'll have a bit of curve to it.  This blank is at least 10 years old.  I prepped it many years back and so I had a bit of a head start.  She's bent and slightly toasted with a heatgun.  I suspect it'll be a burner!
Take a kid hunting!

Jim, it’s some really old sanding sealer bro gave me. Not sure how old it is but it stirred up fine and price tag says $9.37 and when I looked at hardware store they have 20 to 25 bucks on a quart of it .  :biglaugh:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Both bows are looking good! I will have a little more time this week to work on the bows. The mill needed tramming and I made a drilling jig for the new bow. Gluing the back overlays on the riser tomorrow and then drill and tap the riser.

The bow being built is new design I have not made before so it may take a few limb attempts to dial in a set of good preforming ones.

Haven't been able to work on my bow last week due to compressed disc and pinched nerve in lower back.  Will be back to work this week.

I've been the lower back thing too. Broke my lower back about 15 years ago. Not doing too bad now other than normal stiffness and a little sore all the time.
Wish you guys the best.

Got the riser glued up last night, form rebuilt for the limbs, laminations cut and ground. Hopefully get the limbs in the form in the next day or so. Pics of riser coming soon. Looks really good.

Wedges made, Wenge I Beam cut and sanded, overlays and limb pads cut and sanded to thickness.  Now to slice the riser and glue in the I beam, and glue up the limbs.

Carved out the evening to work on the swap bow. Settled on a limb pad angle and hope to have limbs on and limbs profiled tonight.
