Thanks guys, I used some curly canary wood for veneers. I think they’ll match the Osage well after the Osage darkens.

Nicholi what are you using to cut the risers out.  It looks like a router ?  Cnc or buy hand.

It’s a cnc router. It’s just a small desktop setup, and really made for engraving. I don’t have the bandsaw skills some of you do!

I got it cooked last night.

You could use that CNC router to make jigs for a profiling sander. I for one could use a coupler more jigs.  :bigsmyl:

So my first attempt out of my deflex/reflex form was off for some reason.  Gluing up another blank today the form broke. Not a good day.

A few small updates. Everything but the tip overlays are glued up. Hopefully I’ll get it profiled up this week.

That’s gonna be a nice one Nicholi.
I just noticed my glue lines aren’t great on the one side of the bow. The shelf side is fine but the other isn’t great. I checked my sander and it’s still true. Had to be in the laminations. I can’t remember if I checked both sides or not. Sorry in advance to my victim.

Thanks to everyone for keeping up with the swap so far.  I have to leave for one last trip for work this week so I will be on mobile if you guys need me.  I will be gone approximately 3 weeks.  Most of you have my phone number or can PM me if you need something.  I will still be keeping up on this but will only have internet and cell service in the evenings.  Keep going strong and thank you for all you have been doing!

Those marks you talk about are good but that is why I make profiling jigs only have to fight it once while making the jig.

That’s looking awesome Kenny. That’s gonna be one lucky dude that ends up with that!

I took the morning off to glue up my victims riser.
