HH Classic 20th Annv Commemorative Bow
« on: January 19, 2023, 08:50:14 PM »
Folks, I floated an idea passed Craig Ekin with Howard Hill Archery Co. that I have for the 20th Anniversary of the Howard Hill Classic.  Yes, I know the 20th isn’t until June of 2024, BUT, it’s never too early to plan, and this idea needs some serious planning in my opinion.
I asked him what he thought of having twenty Howard Hill 20th Anniversary Commemorative bows made, numbered 1 through 20.  The designs for the riser is a Silver Elephant on one side of the riser’s grip and a Silver Howard Hill broadhead on the other side.  Craig liked the idea and yes, there will be only 20 made.
So far, a total of 11 bows have been spoken for with several that want a particular number on the bow.
First, the name of this bow will be written on the lower limb and 20th Anniversary Commemorative Bow will be written on the upper limb.
The bow that will be made for me should be made in time to display at this year’s 19th Howard Hill Classic.
I welcome your comments and have more details to come.

Right or left handed.  All bows will special ordered for your specs, draw weight, limb length, grip style.  Other than what your own specs will be, they will all be identical.

More info folks.

The limbs will be four lams, the two inner will be bamboo and the two outer will be osage.

The riser will be an exotic dark hardwood so the silver inlays will certainly stand out.

The grip will be wrapped in American Elk.

Thanks for replying, but maybe I’m missing something. If there is going to be 20 made and 11 are spoken for that leaves 9 left. Is there a list to speak for 1 of these 9, or is it first come first serve when he is ready for orders?

Either way, it is a great idea and the combination sounds stunning!

I am sorry for the misunderstanding.  I didn't communicate this well enough. I have had several choose numbers.  Craig always has the #1 of limited edition bows.  I took number 2 and here are other numbers that have been spoken for.  Numbers 3, 4, 7, 11, 13, 16, 19 and I will raffle off the number 20 at next year's HH Classic. There is one that hasn't picked a number but he says he wants one.

These twenty bows will never be duplicated, hence the name "The Howard Hill Classic" bow certainly won't be.

Wow, it looks like there maybe only 7 bows left to order.  Pretty cool, after all, there will only ever be 20 bows made, EVER, that will be named "The Howard Hill Classic", from the Howard Hill Archery Company.

EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!

Folks, my "2 of 20" numbered "Howard Hill Classic" Commemorative bow came in today.

The Osage has already started to turn a little.

The bow is beautiful and I'll be posting a few photos shortly.

Folks, here are the numbers remaining for this 20th Commemorative Bow.  Numbers 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19.  Also, the number 8 just came available.   I know the 20th Anniversary for the Howard Hill Classic is over a year away, BUT, if ya want to give Craig Ekin time to make your by June, 2024, you may want to get your order in ASAP.

There really isn't a model.  This bow stands on it's on.  It does have four laminations, like many others, BUT, being it is a limited edition, there are two silver inlays, not common, belly and back Osage, etc.  If you look at other models, this is the only named "Howard Hill Classic" Craig has ever named as such.
