Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Terry and some of the rest of us have a case of the South Texas Prickly Pear Pox -- a rare condition caused by contact with prickly pear cactus and other botanicals with thorns. The recommended treatment consists of rest, relaxation, the liberal use of tweezers, recreational hunting, and a few ounces of Bourbon taken internally.

Round two of the treatment will start in a week.

Ok. Here goes.  Attempt to share a video…..
This is video of Huckbuck LTR1 hunt.  We were on way back to camp just after sunset when we drove up to within 30 yards of 3 javi.  Tony slowly slipped out of the drivers seat of truck and grabbed his bow.  Two of the javi had seen enough and took off.  One remained and was much less leery of the situation. I was in a good position to video from truck.  Tony stalked within 15 or so and after a brief stare down the arrow found its mark.  We recovered him just after dark about 30 yards from this spot.

Here are some photos of the BIG javelina I shot. He was a 60-pound class older boar.

He was in a group of five that were working their way down a little dirt road. He was the largest one by a significant amount. The high wind that day moved my arrow away from the point of aim, but it cut an artery anyway and he was dead after about 35-40 yards.

I am having his skull cleaned, and we will be eating sausage made from him in LTR week #2.

1st evening strategy pays off. Textbook stalk and shot and Bodie is on the board with a nice one. 250 Grn 1 1/4" VPA 3 blade makes a short blood trail. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Day 2, several close calls, no luck. Day 3 rolls around and same thing till right at dark, we get a group between us with a good crosswind, perfect for 2 people, we close in and of course they head toward Bodie. Another perfect shot and he is tagged out.

More in a bit...

For now, another view of Joe's javie.  It looks to me that Mr Hog and Miss Javie were the last to leave the bar late one night....
