Not the best picture. But probably this one. It was a major PITA to get right. But it shoots well. I can’t remember the prober name but it’s a an Osage double bow with a string bridge.

I had a little osage limb that I cut in 1996 and it had been in the rafters of the garage until 2020 when I decided to work it.  The growth rings were like 30+ per inch and it was really knobby, so I planed the back flat and backed it with bamboo using the perry reflex technique.  The limb was narrow and only about 58" long, but it made a very nice little bow that is still my favorite of all the 100+ I have made.  The bamboo is dyed with leather dye, it has a matte finish, and the grip is deerskin.  Finished at 54#.  Holds about 2" of reflex after being shot in.

Love the looks of this bow! Curious about your draw length and whether there’s a cut in shelf?
Outstanding!

Jon,

The bow measures 54@26", but it will draw to 27", which is my normal draw length.  The tips to not ahve standard string grooves because it was so short.  I used pin-shape tips to hold the string like a west-coast style native bow.  There are little cocobolo hooks on the pins to prevent the string form slipping off if someone drew it past 27", which is where the angle of the string and the tip is 90 degrees.

There is no cut-in shelf.  The grip is fairly narrow and I made a small shelf about half an arrow diameter from built up leather under the grip.

This is the only one I had on my phone that shows the tip.  I really like the pin nocks and I am surprised we don't see more of them.  I have used them on selfbow recurves too.  Very easy to make and very easy to string and unstring.

No where near as cool as your pin nocks Flntknp, but here is one I used on a 48” kid’s bow.  I wanted the limbs short for a kid but wanted to use every inch of limb length to keep the draw weight down. So, I came up with this and reinforced with phenolic because the tips and limbs were so thin.

Greetings all from Australia.

Favorite build to date was a 60" recurve inspired by the earlier Black Widows.
Came in at 40# at 29", 0.245" total stack with 40thou brown glass. Shoots better than I can!
