Give up or give in? ( An update )
« on: February 08, 2023, 11:29:27 AM »
Well, I just can't seem to get back in the game with my shoulder and hands not able to take the pressure of shooting a bow.
But I just pulled the trigger on a 35# Bear Super Grizzly.
Hope that will get me shooting again.
I just can't do the possible alternative shooting methods.
I'm hoping  :archer:

Dale, a man gotta do what a man gotta do.
Friend of mine had to drop down to 25 pounds to keep shooting.
He shot super light arrows and he hung right in there with the rest of the guys at 3D shoots.

Never give up. So many things depend on the right attitude. In my experience, when things get challenging, believing that you can find a way to make it happen helps immensely.

I hope the new bow works for you. Keep us posted.

What really gets me is, just a few years ago I was shooting 60# all day long.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

Pine I’m in the same boat as you, when I was a young man I shot bows up to 95# ,two months ago I pulled a back muscle that still hurts like heck ,down to around 50# now ,but haven’t shot for two months hoping this thing goes away .I used to shoot every day.Getting old is no fun at all. Golden years my ass lol

After my surgery this past July, I couldn't shoot at all until November. Then I had to drop to 30#. I'm back to 40# now my normal Old Man weight.
