Code of Silence camo

Anyone have experience with Code of Silence camo? Seems like a good product only I'm thinking burrs and the like could be aggravating. Thanks in advance

"ANY" berber/fleece product is going to be a challenge if you hunt weeds with any of the various "stick tights" in them.  I have spent hours cleaning up my Naturalgear camo, which this camo resembles.  The other thing to consider is their website mentions these garments were made to fit snug, no layering.  They even tell you to order "up" if you plan on doing that.  I'm too old and "robust" for snug clothing anymore.

Thanks gents. I like my Asbell wool but thought this might be a little better with the windblock layer. Thinking I should stick with Asbell & First Lite.

I'm not sure about Terry's comment on it "blobbing".  I only say that because of my own experience with "Natragear" camo, which I wear a lot.  I have some ASAT, great stuff when I'm in "western" terrain.  You can really disappear with it there, but when I tried wearing it in eastern tree stands I'd get busted almost every time.  Too light a color pattern I'm thinking.  I get the best results in those conditions with an overall fairly dark "blob" pattern that blends well with the dark tree bark.  Just my own results.

Don't take this wrong I use camo because I like the looks I use to dress head to toe but I don't think it matter when hunting Big game now as for birds I have shot Duck and Geese with a Maroon hoodie on for years most time earth tone color pants with the same with the top or camo.

I appreciate all the feedback. Went ahead and ordered some. I'll be sure to update y'all on what I think of it. Mid-March should get some time in the woods for a little scouting.

BAK, blobbing is what happens when a multicolored object moves further away.

The further, and I'm not talking way further, a multicolored object moves away, the more it wants to become a solid color. (AKA Blob)

Just a heads up on first lite. The Chernin group now owns them. The Chernin group is hugely and openly anti hunting and anti 2nd as well as a very large donor for the DNC. Pretty ingenious and extraordinarily deceitful of the anti hunters to have bought that company such that hunters contribute to their own demise when they buy their gear.  I have tried to make as many hunters as possible aware of what is going on with them.

If you see all the youtube hunters wearing it, that is because Chernin group is giving it to the popular youtube guys which sets the trend for other hunters to buy it as well. Many of them just don't care.

At any rate, safe hunting and just food for thought!

Yep, once I found out about the sellout to the Chernin Group, First Lite lost my business.  I have a decent amount of their clothes that are several years old that I like, but there are plenty of companies out there manufacturing quality products that crap on my values…

I actually have the lightweight pants and mid weight jacket. The camo pattern looks better in person and on the woods, with no sheen.  Yes, you will pick up burrs with this material, but I really like the pants.  Very quiet and warm. I am actually considering getting the hoodie.  The jacked is very nice.  More quiet than other wind barrier garments, but not quite as wind proof as the cabelas garments that I have worn.  The are having a sale that is $100 off of you get the mid weight pants and jacket.  If it was 80 off for the lightweight hoodie and pants, I would be pulling the trigger.

I should mention that I got the large pants.  Waist is probably good from 34-38, inseam 32 or 33.  Long enough for me, without getting in the mid.  You would think the material on the inside of the calves would be noisy, but is isn’t.  Nice and warm, and nearly wind proof without a barrier.  The jacket I got in 2xl I have broad shoulders and there was resistance lifting my arms up in the xl. I normally can’t where xl unless it is a tall size anyway.  My sleeve length is 36/37.

I just got the H-1 flannel and wow this thing is going to be sweet.  It has a wind stopping layer and is built well and fits well.

Seems like it will be a great long lasting piece to hunt in!

I did get the midweight pants & jacket friday. Lg pants have enough room for a baselayer. Lg jacket has room enough for 2-3 layers depending on their bulk. So far I'm impressed with fit,  comfort, warmth,  and wind blocking. The pattern resembles the natural gear camo I've used in the past and being dyed wool it has no shine and very quiet. Hope to get some field time between now and my March trip. For the money I would recommend this brand. Being a burr magnet is my only concern....
