First off, I just gotta say thanks to all who have answered mine and many others questions. Just reading the boards have improved my shooting with the many tips and advice. So thank you all!
Second, my improvements. Using much of the knowledge garnered here, I can see much more consistency in my shooting. One thing I always wanted to know was my bows speed and I finally got a gizmo that tells me. I saw it on YT, the little radar type thing and it was side by side compared to a couple other chronys and results were very close. I have 7 TD(ILF and bolt on)recurves(the cheap ones) between 56” and 66”, all have 45# limbs and I just have one of those hand held scales but I know it’s really not my true draw weight as I can’t anchor at the exact spot but I usually get a 3 draw avg around 41/42. All shots were with 400 grain arrows. All bows shot a 3 arrow avg of 163. I have one hybrid with 35# and it shot the same arrow at 143 and my scale draw avg on it is the rated 35. I am pretty sure my draw length is 27.5(I only know from my Unmentionable bow) but I probably don’t draw that length consistently with trad bows, but am working on it.
As far as ILF, still playing with med limbs on 15, 17, & 19” risers. I want longer and have a set of longs to try and get a smooth drawing 45#’s at 60+’’s, no more than 62, so I am leaning toward the new limbs on the 17” riser as that’s my sweet spot bow right now.
Sorry for the long ramble, I don’t get out much!
