New bow day! Black Forest
«
on:

Got the call from Mike that my new bow was ready! I have quite a few of his and wanted something a little different. I went with a 64" Black Forest "Spook". We were shopping for bow wood and ran across some Ambrosia Maple without double eye holes that look like "spooks". I have several of his from 56" to 60" and wanted a longer with with a different riser pattern that I saw him do. Black diamond wood, Bloodwood and Ambrosia maple.
45# at 28", 64" long.

No sir. Mike Treadway has been building his own Treadway longbows for a very long time. The Black Forest is just one of his models. Great shooting longbows !!

Terry, I bought my Treadway bow back in 1999 and Mike had been making bows for years then. Ask anyone that has one (or more) of Mike's bows and they will tell you Mike makes one of the best bows out there.

I received my second Treadway Black Forest today. I have a 56” & a 58” now. What a shooter! His bows are top notch. If you have never shot one , you don’t know what you’re missing. As for as Mr Mike you will never met a finer fella. He is top notch as is the bows he builds. The traditional community has a lot of outstanding people & I would consider Mr Mike on the top of the list
