Bowyer's Tool Wall
« on: March 04, 2023, 08:03:30 PM »
I've been reworking my bowmaking shop, i.e. my garage.  One thing I always wanted was a very organized tool wall with all my bowyer tools.  I've got a bit to grow too.  But at this point, besides my chainsaw and some splitting tools, along with my bandsaw, these are all I ever use. I do have my tape, pencil and caliper on my bench.  Not to mention my favorite tool, my Ferret's Floppy Bowyer's Rule.  Left to right is the general order of things. I even have an osage mallet and the plane shelf is also osage.
Take a kid hunting!

Looks great man!  I wish my garage/shop was half as organized as that  :biglaugh:  Love the osage mallet as well, I may have to make one of those!

That looks really nice. Kinda what I wished mine looked like.

You don't even want to see mine. Multiple benches, walls, drawers, cabinets, mostly hung too crowded on pegboard, behind benches much too cluttered. Works for me somehow though.

I love the look of that knotty pine paneling….

My poor shop is so pig piled right now it’s embarrassing….

Once the weather warms up enough to where I can roll up my arctic curtains,  and open up the big door, I’ll get it swamped out and start getting organized again.

Spring cleaning is needed badly this year… I can’t hardly walk though it right now.

A "Ferret's Floppy Bowyer's Rule" has an honored place by my bench too.

Ok, here are my bowyer’s tool walls, sorta spread out and used for other projects as well. That workbench I built 50 yrs. ago and I store tools in it as well. Yours is pristine and a pleasure to the eye, yet that might change a bit over time!  :bigsmyl:

Same here   I usually half-way clean it up before I start some new project... by the time I'm done it's generally worse than when I started  :biglaugh:

That was everything it took to make a bow, I think :dunno:

Most of my bowmaking tools are on the wall behind my work bench.

Max, I feel you. Looks like a bomb went off in my shop after I get finished.  The worst is after they come out of the form and I start removing all the wrap and glue.
