I have a drawer full of stuff I've bought and tried but still not satisfied with any of it.

I am thinking of having my wife make a stencil of my name and the specs with her cricut joy and airbrush over it before spraying.

I have some pens I picked up at hobby lobby that I use for marking crank baits that I airbrush and seal in epoxy. Copic sketch pens. Many colors and they last awhile. They are also alcohol based.

I’ve been using these for years now…. Get the extra fine tip. Gold , black and silver work well… the white is very bright and I don’t care for using it.

The only issue I’ve had with these is in really warm weather the tips will clog up if you do not store them in a drawer out of direct sunlight.

I use a dip pen and India ink. A bottle will last a long time and the ink does not fade in the sun.

I use these. But I would get the next 1 or 2 sizes larger next time I buy some. I have one for white and black. Get the pen cleaning kit to. I used these in drafting class back in highschool. Black widow uses the same pens. Sold at Dick Blick in Galesburg Illinois.

I like India ink and use a quill type pen I made with a piece of bamboo.

Not the prettiest but it works well.

These look like nice precision artist pens, that can be cleaned and refilled. Do you have any photos of the writing done with these?  I think I’d like to try these but am uncertain on tip size.

Do you have any issues writing on glass with these?

The Deco color paint pens work ok…. But the tips clog up sometimes and they are toast… also.. I’d prefer something with a smaller tip for writing on the riser belly ramp that has nice clean lines…. I never could get the consistency I want from a calligraphy pen. That’s an art form working with dip pens I’ve never mastered.

Thanks,      Kirk

Kirk, I can show you some pictures of my handwriting. But my handwriting sucks. These were drafting pens that I used to use 42 years ago in high school. And I sold my whole set away. Found out later they were useful for what I do now. I don't think you'll have a problem writing on glass. I would least go the next size bigger , or two sizes bigger. And stick with their ink or the one of the white that I posted earlier. No problems with smearing after it's dry under a clear coat. JF p

These pens I've been very happy with. Just have to make sure you clean them out when you're done and they'll work fine. The next time you want to use it. I know Black widow goes through a lot of handwriting a day. But I know they clean them out regularly. JF

I was curious about the tip size and what the diameter of the actual ink laid down. Yours look to be.035, So you think the . 060 mm would be better ?  Thanks.  Always looking for a better finished product.

Yes Kirk, the bigger diameter size I think would work out better than what I've been doing. The ink  does not flow out after You make your mark. I like it. Little more work. Keeping the pens clean but I'm happy, very happy with results. I got this information from Roger at Black widow. JF

Thanks…. I just placed an order with black and white ink…, wish they had a gold color. That looks better than white.    Kirk

The white will look good. You can try out different ink. Black widow uses? Dr.? Maybe they make a gold. But I use this ink that goes along with the pins.
