Favorite 2 blade broadhead

My favorite broadhead would have to be a Zwickey
Delta two edge. A glue on Delta weighs in at around 135 grains. (With an aluminum adapter, around 170) I have used most of the common wide two edge heads, all with favorable results.

I currently shoot carbon arrows, that I squeeze automotive silicone into the insert end, until I get the arrow to weigh what I want. With a broadhead, my arrows weigh in at around 650 grains. Three fletch, left wing, sheild cut feathers. I love wood arrows also.

Unlike most of the people on this site, I own only a few bows. I am strictly a recurve shooter. I have shot the same Pittsley Predator for a long time, and I`ll buy a new one when I need to. At my draw length of 29", my bow weight is around seventy pounds. Way more than what is needed for what walks in Michigan, but it is what I like.

At this point, I would like to thank you for including your family in this special lifestyle choice we call archery. Including them is the best way to promote and protect my (our) favorite pasttime.

Magnus Stingers , every deer Ive hit with them have given my a good blood trail and quick recovery . They also fly right with my feild points so its hard to beat the performance Im getting out of them .

I've had great luck with mangus 125's+ screw in insert and stingers, no problem, but also made up some Ace 125 w/25 grain inserts. Flew great, spade the tip, very durable. I shoot them on carbons and they still fly like a drop of water.

I've been very pleased with the Ace Express 165's that I've been shooting for 3 or 4 years now.  They're a very tough head, sharpen well and hold that edge.  All the Ace heads seem to be very good, but I like the size and straight edge of the Express 165.  The makers, Bob and Jan Mayo are also very supportive of the UBI and bowhunting.  I mount them on wood arrows of 550 to 650 gr and shoot them from mid 50's weight longbows, currently a 62" Robertson Vision.

The Zwickey Delta would be a very close second if it was heavier.

I like the 125g Zwickey Eskimo - it's simple, sharpens very easily and flies very well!
I use Carbon Express Terminator Select 45/60's cut to 28", with a normal nock glued in and 4 x 4" Banana feathers. I use a 125g broadhead adapter giving a total arrow weight of about 600g. My bows are listed below....

I used the original Journeyman broadhead from Brian Oates, then switched to the Magnus Journeyman and now use the 145gr Eclipse. It's a great head...I can email you some pics if you want to see some results.

Wow thanks for all the post's and info. I've been lookig all of these up and some of these badboys look very tuff and efficiant. STOS, Ribtech, silverflame all look tuff as nails and like they wouldnt stop for anything. Magnus, Zwickey, Grizzlies look pretty much the same as far as effiency and tuffness are concerned, which is to say that they look very tuff with a good angle of sharpening. I have read some of
ashby's reports and am seeing that many are going heavier in the tip weight, and that the Grizzlies have the best penetration, with the STOS close behind (correct me if i'm wrong)  So it seems that i might try some heavier weighted ones after i retune my arrows to take the weight. By no means have i figured anything out and always welcome advice....lord knows i need it. Thanks again everyone.

I don't hear of many using them, but I  have great results with First Cut 2 blades.  Very sharp out of the package and a strong, thick blade, not hard to resharpen.  Have been using them with 45 to 50# bows and normally get complete penetration on whitetails.

The Simmons Interceptor is a great head. I am going to try the Stos this year too. I like the longer and narrower heads. The Magnus were too wide and I never did get good arrow flight with them, especially in the wind.
