My 56" Silvertip, 58" Widow, 52" Kodiak Mag, & 48" Super Mag are all competing for the opportunity...I should have it figured out in a couple more weeks! :dunno:

I may have let some of the Thunderchild fans down as I started this thread. There was an issue with my Thunderchild build and I ended up switching to a 60” Mountain Monarch for the new build. Big Jim had it ready for me at the KY Tradfest this past weekend.

I have put 300 rounds thru her and she is ready for the field She is an excellent shooter, delivers a fine shot experience and has me quite confident and most pleased.

Thank you, Big Jim.

In my prior post I said my Toelke Whip but my shooting lately has been more precise with my 52# Bear T/D so next Wednesday I'll be carrying it with Bullheads. Good Luck to all!

Killed my first turkey with a thunderchild, and my last with a 60" mountain monarch.  Both great bows, but the monarch feels more stable for me.  Good luck

Happy to say I'll be leaving my shotgun home and taking my OMP 62" strata longbow 45@28 shooting a 175 gr grizzlystik samurai w/ a 74 grain insert in a GT Traditional 500. 540 grains overall. I honestly only expect to talk to other hunters in the woods this year, I haven't seen much for turkey.

Looks like instead of Thunderchicken vs Thunderchild.

Its gonna be Mountain Monarch vs Mountain Patriarch.

Let the games begin.

Those monarchs are fine bows brother.  I bet that you make short work of a bird.

The Mountain Monarch unleashed the Tree Shark on a feeding frenzy this afternoon...compete pass thru...bird went 15 yards...the Mountain Monarch has proven to be an excellent companion.
