This really saddens me. George(Jawge) was a good friend even though I never had the opportunity to meet him. George was a teacher by profession and it showed in his love for archery and Passing it On to anyone that was interested. George's archery website is responsible for getting lots of folks started in wood bow archery. RIP George and thank you for all you did for archery.

That is absolutely shocking.

Though I can't say I ever met him, it was hard not to notice that he stayed "above the fray" on so many topics that became controversial. Mr. Jawge was always a kind, thoughtful, and positive energy on the various boards. No doubt, I'm sure that also defined his character in life.

Prayers for his family....

.......My God this is sad beyond words.   I've never met Mr. Jawge  though I have talked with him so often on-line over the years that I feel as if we were old friends.I think he had a way like that with most folks on these forums and in person.  A kind...giving  soul that we all would be better for to follow his lead .

My heartfelt Condolences to all the family , Friends , and his countless brothers & sisters of the bow and arrow family.

Thank you Mr. Jawge for the way you looked at the world , and making it a better place......in the wind my friend.

Never met Jawge but considered him 'one of the good ones'.   May he rest in peace.

Complete gentleman.  Met his several times at shoots when I lived in New England and again a few years ago at the Baltimore Bowman shoot with his wife.  Just a wonderful guy that oozed kindness.

Had the pleasure of shooting and eating with Jawge.  A fine gentleman with a positive outlook.  You're going to be missed greatly.  Prayers for family and friends.
