Did I hear someone say blue??? Some more old school AO, these have been around the block a time or two, feathers are in rough shape on a couple. White cap dip with a blue swirl dip.

I’m humbled by Jason’s post.
Here’s a picture of what I’m working on. I may need to do a crown dip, but for these tester arrows, basic orange and blue looks good enough.

XX75 Autumn Orange. That brings back a lot of great memories from when my Dad and I started bow hunting in the early ‘80’s. My Dad used the XX75 Autumn Orange shafts and I had the game getter green shafts that eventually looked like chrome and I would paint them. I always thought the Autumn Orange were the most beautiful shafts and the color didn’t rub off like the cheaper Easton game getters. I don’t need any arrows but may just have to order some as so many times after all these years those Autumn Orange shafts pop into my mind.

I don't think 2016 out of a 50# black widow will work good, I may be wrong, but that spine seems a little lite for that bow. I hope it works for you it didn't for me but everyone is different. Good Luck!

$54.99 + 11.95 shipping + tax
I'm shooting a Toelke Whip and a collection of various recurves in the 50-55# range.

Ok. Similar range. I have a Martin savannah, 55@28. I think I’m only 26.5-27. Curious of the overall weight and spine you chose. I might go out to see what those old shafts I had 30 years ago were.

I used the spine chart they had on their web page - I was thinking about the 2018, but when I factored in my arrow length of 29.5", draw weight of 50-52 lbs, and point weight of 160 it had me leaning a lot more towards the 2117s.
I'll start out with the shafts full length and work from there in case 2117 is a little stiff?

Evan, thank you. Building arrows is my winter time hobby, this thread has made me dig through my stash.
Here’s some more old school AO’s I have.
Blue and yellow fletch are heavy 2315’s.
The grey fletch have wraps on them and are 2114’s
The white fletch with red nocks are 2117’s. There is just something about the orange that just seems right to me. Guess I’d better go shopping before they’re all gone!!!

I know that’s the arrows I had 30 years ago. Some still at my parents house in the attic. Mine had vanes. But you know, for some reason feather fletching just looks so much better imo…..

My first deer shot in 1978, with Howard Hill Tembo, Easton Autumn Orange 2117 arrows in my back quiver. Looking forward to testing them out again.

Go figure… brand new arrows… second arrow hit the first and cracked the nock. Can someone educate me on how these nocks are switched out? It seems like a push in nock that was glued in.

They are in there tight. I take pliers and twist and pull at the same time.

Thanks! That worked. Fortunately, I had some extra nocks lying around. Back in action!
